I Recommend Avoiding the Badge "#opentowork"
I recommend avoiding the badge "#opentowork".
I know that we are all constantly seeking new professional opportunities in tech.
I do too.
Personally, I prefer not to use that badge.
- Because it gives the impression of "need".
- Need can negatively affect job opportunities and negotiation.
Instead of relying on the "#opentowork" badge, it is more effective to generate opportunities through active strategies.
I prefer to focus on creating opportunities. I regularly post on social media, maintain daily conversations, and actively use my professional network to open doors.
While I value conversations, my main focus is on proactively generating opportunities.
By adopting strategies that create opportunities:
— We won’t need to ask for a job.
— We won’t have to constantly chase.
— We won’t depend on applying for job opportunities.
And we could land the job we want.
If you’re interested in learning how to create opportunities proactively instead of just highlighting content, my new guide "How to Generate Professional Opportunities Through Active Strategies" explains how in 2 simple steps.
Just say "guide" and I’ll send it to you.
UPDATE: based on my professional experience in tech in Silicon Valley and as a top recommendation for mid/senior profiles who are currently working and seeking professional improvement.
