Tips I wish I had known earlier in my developer career...

Do you ever feel like work is consuming your life?

In my early years, I ignored balance.

And you know what?

It's not worth it.

• Burnout

• Stress

• Health issues

• Relationship problems

• Regret and dissatisfaction with life and oneself

• Decreased productivity and creativity

Don't fall into the trap!

🚫 Skipping breaks doesn't make you a hero.

It's a zero-sum game.

🚫 Overtime won't get you promoted.

It's a long-term loss.

🚫 Weekend tasks?

Your health doesn't take a break on Sundays.

🚫 Work over family?

Sacrificing relationships leaves you alone with your money.

Ready to change course?

1• Start your day the right way,

not just with caffeine, but with a dose of positivity! ☕️

2• Don't just make a to-do list, make a priority list.

Focus on what truly matters. 🎯

3• Disconnect and recharge yourself, seriously, put down the phone.

📵 Time in front of the screen is not quality time!

4• Physical activity, not just for fitness enthusiasts.

A simple walk can clear your mind. 🚶‍♀️

5• Set boundaries, respect your time as if it were gold! ⏳

6• Take small breaks throughout the day, it's like hitting the reset button for your mind.

7• Learn to say no, it's okay to decline extra tasks if your plate is full.

Always quality over quantity! 🚫

8• Don't be a lone wolf, trust your team and share the workload.

Teamwork makes dreams come true!

9• Prioritize quality sleep, your body and mind need adequate rest for optimal performance. 😴

P.S.: How do you incorporate work-life balance?

Next month, I will be hosting a webinar to help senior developers advance their careers, say SEMINAR if you want to attend.
