Attention software engineers

Attention software engineers,

Please note that this post contains profanity.

If you're easily offended, you may want to skip this one.

I recently stumbled across a post on Instagram that resonated with me. It was a list of "12 f$#%ing rules of success."

While the language is a bit rough, I think the message is on point. As software engineers, we can all learn something from these rules. Here they are:

Do the f***ing work. Don't be lazy.

Stop f***ing waiting. It's time.

Rely on yourself. The universe doesn't give a f***.

Be f***ing practical. Success is not a theory.

Be productive early. Don't f*** around all day.

Don't be a f***ing baby. Life's hard. Get on with it.

Don't hang out with f***wits.

Don't f***ing waste energy on sh!t you can't control.

Stop bullish!tting. It's f***ing embarrassing.

Stop being a f***ing people-pleaser. It's sad.

Stop putting toxic sh!t in your body. It's f***ing stupid.

Stop doing the same f***ing thing and hoping sh!t will change.

I know the language is a bit crude, but I think there's a valuable lesson here.

As software engineers, we need to stop trying to please everyone. Instead, we need to be true to ourselves and our beliefs. We need to speak our minds and not be afraid to turn people off. Because by doing so, we'll attract the people who really resonate with us and our work.

One of the best ways to do this is through career jumping.

So if you're ready to stop being a people-pleaser and increase your compensation, I am looking for 5 engineers to do the work here: https://engineergame.com
